The Friends of WRR supports the retention of WRR 101.1 FM as a unique, irreplaceable community asset of the City of Dallas. WRR is a vital resource for the economic, democratic and cultural life of the City of Dallas.

WRR is:

• A dynamic, proactive, evolving community/cultural asset
• A major partner in the cultural community
• An attraction for businesses and individuals/families considering a move to Dallas
• Supported by a strong, large and loyal listening audience
• A fundamental source for community involvement, including:
  • Cultural events
  • City Council meetings
  • International and national events
  • News, in partnership with other media outlets
• An affordable audience development resource for virtually all Dallas arts organizations, from minority and emerging groups to major organizations
• A vital educational tool for all ages
• A free, accessible, in-home resource for all citizens of Dallas and the surrounding communities. Without WRR, the cost of public access to the arts would significantly increase.
