Awesome Opera is a collaborative effort between the Friends of WRR and Young Audiences of Dallas. The program is designed to promote and enrich children’s knowledge and enjoyment of opera as a unique performing art. Awesome Opera airs for seven weeks during opera season.

Hosted by noted Dallas actor Rafael Parry, each half hour program of Awesome Opera uses a talk-show format to explore the world of musical drama. Each week, a celebrity panel trade opinions, barbs, and jokes as they discuss their stories and listen to musical excerpts.
