The Friends of WRR is a passionate and thriving community of classical music lovers.

For over 40 years, Friends of WRR has collaborated with WRR 101.1 and the City of Dallas to ensure that WRR remains a city-owned and independent arts asset and that classical music is a continuous part of the North Texas community.

The Friends of WRR received 501(c)(3) non-profit status in 1995. We continue to support WRR 101.1FM and the arts organizations of North Texas.

The Friends of WRR was formed in 1978 and incorporated in August 1990. It was granted IRS 501(c)(3) status in February 1991.
